We love PCBs and seeing what people make with them! https://oshpark.com/ Blog: https://blog.oshpark.com/ Fediverse: https://fosstodon.org/@oshpark
So I finally got around to getting everything together for the @defconnextgen.bsky.social Youth Soldering Kits (PCBs from @oshpark.bsky.social once again!). I spent $701.43 on parts/etc. if you want to chip in: $Blenster on cashapp. Here's a picture of this year's transparency report spreadsheet:
🎉 #Teardown2026 will be happening 24-26th July. We're in a cool new space: the Jupiter on Burnside. Our 60s mall era is dead, long live our 60s motel era. Tickets, calls for participation + volunteers, and general info on the @crowdsupply.bsky.social site: www.crowdsupply.com/teardown/por...
Excited as always to get to the prototype manufacturing stage & wait impatiently for my purple PCBs from @oshpark.bsky.social ! Gatekeeper is coming alive in 4HP! #modular #synthsky #eurorack
Live now! @helenleigh.bsky.social from @crowdsupply.bsky.social talks to @oshwassociation.bsky.social about the 2026 Open Hardware Summit coming to #Berlin next May! www.youtube.com/watch?v=AY1I... #OSHWA #OpenHardware #OSHW
Finally got a prototype luster fired a year later & it feels good! Yeah, it’s ugly (first time working with porcelain & first time water etching), but there’s an @oshpark.bsky.social circuit board I designed in there & it feels good to realize my vision of conductive glaze as a switch. #pottery
Main Planchette update = a decoupling capacitor :) The URL isn't live yet; website updates are still pending, but hopefully by the time testers arrive from @oshpark.bsky.social , it'll be ready. :) Original tutorial is on @hacksterio.bsky.social – www.hackster.io/glowascii/ou...
New board ordered via @oshpark.bsky.social - hard to beat their pricing for little experiments like this! @kicad.org
Hey #Portland, Multnomah County Animal Services is in a critical overcapacity situation with a maximum capacity of 92 dog kennels, the facility is currently housing over 103 dogs on site: www.multcopets.org/news/immedia... #PDX #PortlandPDX #Multnomah #Oregon

Live now! Join @crowdsupply.bsky.social @helenleigh.bsky.social for a conversation with Tim Ansell (@mith.ro) about @wafer.space, a new way for chip designers to easily turn a design into real, working chips: www.youtube.com/watch?v=tEOm... #OpenHardware #OSHW #OpenSilicon #OpenPDK
My 386EX V2 boards from @oshpark.bsky.social are here! My Mouser order doesn't get here until tomorrow though, I can probably solder the CPUs on tonight.
Slimming down my proto pcb; I screwed something up and now I'm lowering the scope to nail it down. This one only cost $4 since I removed a big edge connector. Thanks @oshpark.bsky.social !
@oshpark.bsky.social has my 386EX v2 boards in the mail to me 5 days after I ordered them! How's that for turnaround.
My @oshpark.bsky.social PCBs arrived. They are part of my #kicad project to create a #KIM-1 #65c02 computer replica, with a twist. I started with the original schematic but broke it into SMT modules. Each module is a castellated #PCB "stamp" for a larger main board that I'm finishing up.
It was an all day effort but 500 kits have been assembled with the help of several volunteers (only some of whom report to me and were "voluntold").
First up: massive thanks to @oshpark.bsky.social for donating 250 beautiful purple PCBs! I've only seen pictures as they were shipped to @architeuthisflux.bsky.social who has been a massive help in coordinating this effort & also deserves a shout out He makes a really cool bit of kit; check it out!
In his first PCB Friday article, Hackster PRO Jeremy Cook explores how a properly formed PCB footprint can act as a coin cell battery holder with no extra parts: www.hackster.io/news/pcb-fri...
I decided ArduinoX86 needed a mascot, so I made this lil guy. He's @oshpark.bsky.social purple, of course. He needs a good name though! #retrocomputing
