A lot of my coworkers made retrospective posts about Destiny 2 shortly after the big announcement was made. Knowing that I would be working on releasing one of the last patches on Bungie Day, I figured that would be a great time for me to post one... ...but the state of the industry makes it tough.

My wife is out for a girls night, so the kid and I are having a boys movie night! I gave him the choice of movie and tonight we’re watching a classic I haven’t seen in about 20 years! Wallace and Gromit: Curse of the Wererabbit!

The poster for Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Wererabbit. It shows Wallace, a claymation human wearing a blue jumpsuit and holding a grabber, and Gromit, a claymation dog with a blue hat holding a sprayer. Behind them is a gigantic pumpkin with the initials WG on it.

more formal i guess: i was part of the bungie/sie layoffs today. if you've seen a image from marathon or destiny 2 since 2021, you've prob seen my work which was a mix of still capture and compositing for those games. ill miss working on one of my favorite games of all time with my favorite people.

Impacted by the layoffs today. I was really hoping Bungie could hold on for at least another 2 years so I could get my 15 year sword XD It's been a dream to get to work with the best developers in the industry making some of the coolest shit. May all of us land on our feet <3

Like many of my dear friends and teammates, I was affected by the layoffs at Bungie today ❤️ I have zero regrets - I made the memories that I craved when I started down this path, and I walk away with them proudly in hand Thank you all, friends, fans, and teammates :) Per audacia ad astra!

Well, I've been affected by the Bungie layoffs, and I guess I'm now looking for work. I'm a senior narrative designer on Destiny 2. I'm going to thread a little list of stuff I've done on the game; normally I go out of my way to avoid attention, but today I'd appreciate reposts.

I have been impacted by the layoffs at Bungie/SIE. While today's news hurts, I do not have a single regret from my near 7 years here. I have grown so much as a Producer and a person and it's because of the people I worked with.

Survived two layoffs only finally lose it on this one. To the RAD Team: it’s been an honor and a privilege. To the D2 Team: y’all were incredible and deserve better. To the players: I’m sorry.

Well folks, the hand of the market got me: I've been impacted by layoffs at Bungie. It's been an incredible, astonishing pleasure working on Destiny 2 and a small part of Marathon with so many wonderful, talented folks. This was my first AAA job, at a studio whose games I'd played since childhood.

I was affected by the Bungie layoffs this morning along with about 50% of the company. It's been an honor working with such talented people at what has always been my dream job

I've been affected by the layoffs sweeping across Bungie. I have a lot of feelings about how things went down, but mainly I'm grateful for the talented people I've worked with closely. Grateful to have had this opportunity as my first industry job. You may be seeing me more often from now on. 🖤

When I first started here, one of the things my boss told me was "We don't have normal SQL problems here". And she was right! One of the things I love most about my job is that there are always opportunities to learn. You know it's a fun day when up to your neck in undocumented DBCC commands!
