The president took on a vanity project, gave no-bid contracts to contractors who screwed it up, made up a story about vandals to cover it up, and then fomented a felony prosecution against an innocent scapegoat. You could impeach for anything he's done but "This asshole is out of control" is a layup
Roy Edroso@edroso.bsky.social · 4d agoWhen you slow down and think about it you realize it's ten times worse than it seems. Sure it's farcical, but it's also a brutal legal attack on a man they knew to be innocent, done to distract from their own thievery and incompetence and as a flex to terrify anyone who might make them look bad.
These third country deportations are among the most evil acts of the Trump administration. They're trying to extrajudicially punish people for seeking asylum, up to and including with death.

I've been seeing a lot of people responding to this with "there ought to be a law," but importantly, we haven't needed a law for this sort of thing because no prior president wanted to be known as a leader who would literally kill people in their hour of need for not voting for him
