Two images of Celes Chere. The left is a screenshot of her from the new Final Fantasy Dissidia mobile game in her debut "modern" outfit. She has a dark blue simple corset over a white oversized long-sleeved collared shirt. The bottom hem of the white shirt flares out from under the corset almost like a skirt. This would be decent if not for the wide, straight palazzo KHAKI PANTS she is also wearing.

The right image is my drawn rendition of a modern outfit for her. This is actually an older drawing I made of her previously without color- now she had a khaki trenchcoat that is belted halfway closed. So you can still see her wearing a dark blue sweater vest and waist-high light-blue skirt. She is still wearing a white collared undershirt that still flares out from under the hem. But since she's wearing a skirt, it lands on the silhouette gently while the skirt hugs the hips whose legs sport sheer stockings. They both go for the same concept- a young woman who was a former high-standing position who left indoctrination except one doesn't make her look like she needs to pick up kids from soccer practice after her second glass of red zinfandel

Image on the right is a drawing ofmostly the same outfit with some rearrangements. The coat/robe now sits on his shoulders like a cape, the spots of dark orange now tasseled to help hearken back to his original design of Amanoisms for accessories. The beige shirt has a button up to keep the sleeves bunched in place at the forearms. The hem of the shirt has a slit that shows off more of the sash, with the beads acting as a pseudo belt/sash. The plaid pockets are moved to the pants instead, with more at the very bottom of the plant legs for visual alliteration.

You shouldn't have to look at this or hear about it. He's wearing so many oversized things it's ridiculous. The most criminal thing obvious to anyone with the misfortune to visually behold it is the oversized FEATHERED FEDORA. THAT COVERS HIS EYES. This lady killer over here wears a long black robe that flares out down to the knees in pseudo frills. There is ONE pattern on this robe that looks like a blurple jagged Aquarius symbol so he's wearing a fedora and looking like he's touting Eridan as his favorite troll from homestuck so it's already a disaster. He has two shirts- purple on top with white underneath reaching down over some baggy gray pants. They're cinched off by long boots at the midway point of the calves. It's fine.

On the right side is my rendition- no more fedora, it's a cloth cap with a pointed rim now. A hood sits on top of the cap with the "feather" (now a dragon wing) jutting out of the silhouette. Basically, it is mostly techwear because easily that was the fucking solution and not this thing this guy on the left dug out of his wine mom (or the other Celes's) closet to scrounge together something resembling edgy as much as possible. Instead of frills, the end of the coat/jacket has two points similar to a coatjacket (lol) with a purple underside that go past his knees. The pattern has become belts left unbuckled to resemble that chaotic pattern from his original design.
