This would amount to a complete capitulation from the US. Literally no way to even attempt to spin this as a win.

The problem is, even if there is a process, it relies on people being transparent and the senate enforcing the rules. And that is clearly not going to happen in this regime.
Talaricoβs argument is simple: Stop treating marijuana like a crime. Legalize it. Regulate it. Tax it. Stop wasting police resources on low-level marijuana offenses. Clear the records of people whose lives have been derailed by nonviolent marijuana convictions.
Notice DOJ doesn't talk about its efforts to obtain state voter files anymore. They are 0-20 in those cases and today is the beginning of the quiet period -- states can no longer do systematic removals of names from the voter rolls. TLDR: We won!π₯³
