His fastball topped out at 100 mph in scoreless first inning today. Could he slot into Tigers rotation shortly with Tarik Skubal traded and Casey Mize likely to follow?
Yeah it sucks for us that after his Dad died, the current Tigers owner decided Detroit is actually a smol market team and can't afford a guy like Skubal but let's be real here - they could have offered a Shohei package and Boras was still taking him to FA so the Tigers did the best they could.
