Queer SFF is sexy but not horny. Uplifting and never depressing. We talk about trauma but aren't allowed to be uncomfortable and unsettling. Defanged. Toothless. Chaste. Palatable for the mainstream and a Netflix adaptation.

Horror sometimes feels like the last bastion of literature for queer people to be freaks and work serious dark themes into their work. Queer SFF seems to have genre signifiers implying cozy found family stories, gentrified, upper class, tokenized diversity and no more.

It's September 14th, which means you can truly celebrate the 30th anniversary of FUNimation's Dragon Ball Z English dub debuting in syndication on American television! Or you could have celebrated it on September 13th. Or September 12th. Or maybe September 7th. 🔗 www.kanzenshuu.com/features/the...

can we PLEASE bring back the word "poser" and stop using "larp" or "cosplay" - being a "poser" or "faking" being into something is lazy and disingenuous whereas cosplayers and actual larpers are passionate about their hobbies and out a lot of time and effort into them
