Meta has settled for $17B instead of fighting in open court. Shareholders celebrate: the stock went up. That $17B is not even 2% of Meta's market cap. This isn't meaningful to a company of this size. It's a slap on the wrist, a far overdue fine that insults all the families harmed by predatory tech.
