New: Police in Wisconsin used Flock to create a pretext to search a man's car for weed. Their justification? He drove from Wisconsin to Michigan, a “known source state for marijuana as it is legal there,” and Flock showed he "travels to Michigan frequently." www.404media.co/cops-used-fl...

Here's a recent pitch I received via the persona "June Barton." When I opened Barton's email profile picture in a new window, I could see that it still had a watermark for an AI image marketplace called "this-person-does-not-exist.com"

An email from a fake PR rep named "June Barton":

Hey Maggie,
Three in four hiring managers say nervousness is the main reason candidates don't secure the proposal, and searches for ‘how to speak in an interview’ have increased noticeably as graduates hit the market.

RiseGuide created an AI feature called Speech Analyzer that listens to a minute of someone speaking and tells them where they stray confidence, rush, or trail away, then provides a plan to improve it. Early users are using it for mock interview practice beforehand.

Would you like to test it yourself? I can set you up with an account, and the founder, Oleksandr Matsiuk, would be glad to discuss it.
PS - do let me know if you're not interested, and I won't follow up.An AI-generated image of a woman from a marketplace called "this-person-does-not exist.com"

NEW: A PR firm used at least 15 fake personas — equipped with fake emails, fake websites, and in some cases, fake AI-generated faces — to send me dozens of pitch emails about its (very real) clients. Those clients told me they had no idea this was happening. futurism.com/artificial-i...

We Are Alarmed by This PR Firm Using a Small Army of Fake AI-Powered Publicists to Barrage Journalists With Pitches for Its Clients

NEW: Cambridge Analytica -- the company that pilfered tens of millions of people's FB data, causing a huge scandal that got Mark Zuckerberg dragged in front of Congress -- has returned as an AI slop zombie that's plagiarized publications ranging from Wired to the NYT futurism.com/artificial-i...

Cambridge Analytica has returned, in a very 2026 way: CambridgeAnalytica.org is now an AI-powered content farm.
