Lead­er­ship is mea­sured in mo­ments like this, by whether those in power con­front tragedy with hon­esty, clar­ity, and ac­count­abil­ity. When Amer­i­can lives are lost at the hands of the Gov­ern­ment, si­lence, de­flec­tion, ab­strac­tion, and blame are not signs of lead­er­ship.

This guy literally spent *years* in the NY state assembly obsessing over the name of the Mario Cuomo Bridge. He fundraises off of it, still. So clearly, he cares about what things are named.
