Sound. Film. Sound for film. Music production. TV production. Huskies. All with a 20+ year backdrop of Lyme Disease (thanks for that Slovakia). Nowadays, expect house-building, home cinema, and music/sound/movie randomness.

We’ve reached the point where CNN have to write a guide on how to collect and watch movies on Blu-ray. Has it been that long already? Dont get me wrong, i love this. Collect your favourite things. Its more rewarding, and you always know where your movies are - all you need is shelves.

One of the world’s great recording studios, Sound Kitchen in Nashville, has been demolished and is now a big patch of dirt. Respect to everyone who put energy and money into saving it. Miloco still have a page devoted to it - worth a look before it too vanishes. milocostudios.com/2018/03/soun...

I’ve suddenly come up with a wild theory concerning Doctor Doom in the MCU, and how this could be the most devious bait-and-switch by Marvel. I’m not going to explain my idea in case I’m either a) right, so it spoils it for everyone or b) I’m completely wrong so I’ll look like an idiot...

Can I just say, after a few days lurking around on Threads as well, BlueSky is the place to be. So thanks to everyone that contributes here. Threads isn’t quite X, but it has an underlying level of awfulness all its own. And I’m amazed to discover that engagement farming is STILL a big thing there.

And here’s two pictures that will mean absolutely nothing to (almost) anyone - behind this hoarding is the remains of South London’s greatest small live music venue, The Cartoon. It’s 20 years this year since it closed. Weirdly the crumbling facade is still just about visible thru the weeds.

Annual van MOT under way, so killing time exploring the wondrous sights of central Croydon. This is how the Whitgift Shopping Centre looks when Taylor Swift isn’t filming a video here.

Under a Binface government, anyone who doesn’t accept human-made climate change as fact will be sent back to school, from Year 1 right the way to A Levels, to see if anything goes in the second time round. #VoteBinface

This should work - my Decca tree, before its “branches” get attached. Kinda unassuming in the end, doesn’t look like it took 12 hours of machining. Still a bunch to do, but this is ok for now. Will shortly be in the venue, hanging 12 feet in the air. 🙂

Waiting for another flagtastic Farage announcement complaining that being an MP has become too dangerous, and that for his family’s safety he has decided not to stand in the by-election after all. All because he’s not sure he can win against a guy with a bin his head.

Rushing to build a custom Decca Tree in time for Friday. The most critical part, the part I ordered first bc it needs a whole day’s drilling and tapping, is going to be the last to arrive. Ironically supplied by a company called “Rapid”. Thanks DHL.

Now I understand why I’ve never owned a copy of The Dish on Blu-ray. Because it wasn’t released in most of the world, and the few places where it was it’s been OOP for most of a decade. I feel lucky now to have seen it at all. Such a great movie being done such an injustice.
