I keep getting reminded how small the independent screenwriting/filmmaking world actually is. Just about every time I go to a festival I find someone new who I unknowingly have a connection to.
For a second I legit thought this was a photo of Mel from Sleepaway Camp. No offense intended towards Mel who is a pinnacle of morality in comparison to this jackass.

Listen, anytime a friend makes a piece of art, I'm excited to check it out...and even if the art's not for me, I'm excited for my friend. Not everything is going to connect, but making things is hard and knowing that someone brought something to the world that wasn't previously there is pretty rad.
