This is really good. It's on my "top albums of the 2000s" list because it was only releases in 2004, but that's not really fair (for everything else from the 2000s).

I kinda get air quality, but I struggle with the fine particulars.
Can any lichen folks help illuminate me about Nephroma taxonomy? McCune & Geiser (2023) say that N. helveticum is absent in the PNW. They say N. tropicum is expected. But I see records of N. helveticum (2 subspecies) from lichenologists, in databases, publications, etc. What gives? Recent changes?

Epilogue I have now found two Arctoparmelia species in the area. A. centrifuga has a solid cortex, no soredia, light lower surface, and I've been finding it in large round patches. A. subcentrifuga is sorediate and basically disintegrates to the touch. The upper cortex is worn and split. 🌿
