Yeah spider-man’s strength is in licensing, he’s always been more valuable than the entire MCU and was only eclipsed by Batman In 2016 — haven’t checked the most recent numbers but I think he’s back on top again. He’s basically a Disney princess, an IP perpetual motion machine

I'm seeing a lot of SUPERHERO MOVIES ARE BACK posts in the wake of #BrandNewDay's success. Spider-Man movies were breaking box office records well before the MCU existed. They are a cinema phenomenon onto themselves, because Spider-Man is a singularly resonant and relatable character.

Damn. Finishing Parable of the Sower on a Sunday afternoon, as another heatwave is about to hit Poland, was not a good idea. There is some hope to be found in this novel but the main thing I am left with are questions about the near future. And answers to those questions do not instil much optimism.

I like how the whole "Mystique abandons Kurt" plot could have been done lovingly like Moses among the reeds but no, she just looks vaguely disgusted and hurls him down a waterfall.
