My only concern is not the animation (gorgeous) or the soundtrack (flawless) or the cast (TOM WAITS & MAHERSHALA ALI‽‽‽) or even the story (an excellent YA coming of age piece), but how are they going to condense a 500+ page novel without sacrificing the story, esp. as it's the 1st in a trilogy.
