My greatest fear about AI is that it's an authoritarian dream come true. The more we trust it completely the easier it becomes to replace our conception of truth. Grokipedia pushing genetics like this is a clumsy sneak preview.

We found it mentions genetics more often than Wikipedia in nationalities, but the case study pages are especially egregious (next post).

Some have worn the equipment for decades. Some people started receiving shocks as children, though the device is now approved for use only on adults.

There might not be ROI on the balance sheet but what's the value of convincing an entire population to surrender total trust to an information system that is under control of people who have direct interest in controlling your thoughts and ideas? I suspect they consider it priceless.

No one wants to hear this but communism is the only answer to rising global authoritarianism. Everything else, yes including democratic socialism, is just stopgap, a dam that capitalism works day and night to route around. The only solution is to end the incentivizing system. End capitalism.
