Jeff Bezos thinks we should let the water flow to data centres rather than humans and the living world. This is utterly genocidal thinking, and indicates why we should tax the billionaire class out of existence. Otherwise the dangers they pose end up getting solved the way of the French royalty.

Hallitus on leikannut köyhiltä ja sote-palveluista, aiheuttaen kurjuutta ja pahoinvointia. Vaikutusarviot se on jättänyt tekemättä. Sote-järjestöt ovat tehneet vaikutusarvioita, kritisoiden hallituksen brutaalia politiikkaa. Joten luonnollisesti hallitus leikkaa järjestöt henkihieveriin kostona.

“I don’t think I can think of another condition that would be treated this way.” Dr Anna Brooks, Liggins Institute. A powerful opening to Zoe Madden-Smith’s award-winning RE:News documentary on #MECFS

“Waking up, it’s like you’ve been hit by a truck. Everything’s shaking, vibrating internally. My brain feels inflamed, it’s like you’ve got a concussion.” Rhi has had #MEcfs for over 20 years.

Dr @binitakane.bsky.social explains how a theory that #MECFS is caused by deconditioning and a fear of exercise permeated medicine and framed the illness as psychological. This led to the patients being neglected, gaslit, and some would say abused. Causing huge trauma for the community.

Clip: Dr @binitakane.bsky.social explains how ME is an energy-limiting illness. The hallmark symptom, Post-Exertional Malaise (PEM), means even normal activities can trigger a worsening of symptoms. Some of her patients have to choose between a shower or preparing a meal that day.

Clip 2 (WDR German TV): Dr Astrid Weber from the Long Covid Clinic in Koblenz says ME/CFS cases have exploded since Covid. ME/CFS isn’t new — despite being around for decades, many doctors know little about it. She wants to educate them. It’s a physical, not a mental, illness.

Clip from a WDR German TV report: Pascal Hilgruber developed ME/CFS following a Covid infection or vaccination. He now spends 80–90% of his day in bed and says being able to go to the toilet on his own feels like an achievement.

need one of those german train-car noun constructions for ‘the sense of betrayal a woman suffers when a thinker who was hugely influential to her turns out to be the same bog standard worthless misogynist as everyone else’

“That’s particularly true now with the hysteria that has developed about abuse of women, which has reached the point that even questioning a charge is a crime worse than murder." -- Noam Chomsky www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026...

Clips from The Golden Girls (1989): Dorothy sees a neurologist after months of #MECFS symptoms. He tells her there’s nothing wrong, it’s just ageing — and suggests a psychiatrist. She begins to doubt herself—until Rose comforts her saying “Doctors don’t know everything.”

Clip from The Golden Girls (1989): Before being diagnosed with #MECFS, Dorothy tells her doctor she’s had months of exhaustion, fevers, muscle weakness, memory problems, and more. Her tests are normal, so he dismisses it as loneliness or depression.
