I really need everyone to remember that the fossil fuel industry knew-knows exactly the climate hell we now inhabit, and are determined to make it FAR worse. That's because they have decided our lives are worth far less than their profits. We are not angry -or organised- enough.

Bordeaux, France, has now recorded more days above 40°C in 2026 alone than during the entire 105-year period from 1920 (when observations began) to 2025. This is deeply shocking.
Part 4 includes the strangest clip yet from Amol Rajan
The strangest clip yet. Amol Rajan claims net zero targets and new North Sea drilling are unrelated. Nonsense. Every new licence is a signal to markets that fossil fuels have a future. The ONLY thing the climate responds to is leaving them in the ground. This BBC bias is a menace to society.
Part 3: we solve the mystery of the “increasing demands”
Why are there increasing demands for new drilling in the North Sea, which the Secretary General of the UN has rightly called moral and economic madness? Why did the BBC rush to Aberdeen not once but twice? Let’s find out when former tabloid journalist Steve Tooze.
A former tabloid journalist lays out the receipts: BBC News are more or less openly campaigning for new oil and gas drilling in the North Sea - under the influence of the billionaire-owned media. 🧵🛢️🍿 Part 1 of 4.
"What makes Sudan's crisis even more alarming is its invisibility. The world is not watching closely enough" The Sudanese civil war is creating the world's worst humanitarian disaster with 12 million people now displaced This 🧵traces the deep connections b/w this conflict & the #ClimateCrisis 1/n
"The cost of silence in Sudan’s civil war is too high"
As Sudan’s brutal civil war rages on, more than 12 million people have been displaced — deepening an already devastating protection and humanitarian crisis. In this episode of The Humans in Human Righ...

Question from @zackpolanski.bsky.social about individual action @mikebernerslee.bsky.social says we should challenge politicians about what we don’t believe Tim Lenton says reducing red meat consumption is one of most impactful things an individual can do
Question from @brianenosdiary.bsky.social asks about combating distraction from action. @angelaisfranc.bsky.social agrees that narratives from Reform seek to divide us and Tim Lenton says positive tipping points are possible and they are facilitated and amplified by policy change.
Question from @deborahmeaden.bsky.social asks for how the changes can be made @profpaulbehrens.bsky.social important for policy to activate willingness to change
Question from @fionaharvey.bsky.social about rise of populist politics. @angelaisfranc.bsky.social says we need to force responses on climate from them. @kevinclimate.bsky.social says there is no cost of living crisis, there is an equity crisis from locked up wealth.
A question from @adamvaughan.bsky.social from the Times ‘what do you think of the recent budget?’ The response was that this transcends party politics. Huge applause.
Environmental lawyer @tessakhan.bsky.social says delaying transition adds to the costs, where the global poorest suffer greatest cost. Break link to electricity and gas price, insulate homes, retrain for clean energy jobs, and withdraw quickly and totally from fossil fuels.
Professor of Biodiversity Nathalie Seddon @biology.ox.ac.uk says only 7% of our forests are healthy, and depleted marshes and soils put over 5 million homes at risk of flooding. @wwf.org.uk showed over half of voters think the gov is not doing enough to protect nature.
My 🥼 friends in @srti.bsky.social marched behind the Fascism Runs on Fossil Fuels banner, with signs that read Trust Science Not Dictators! #DontSilenceScience
What is more shocking? 1. Throwing soup on a glass protecting a Van Gogh’s painting 2. Destroying a Banksy mural 🤔 Destroying political art is on the slippery slope towards fascism. All of them have done it. They may be saying they need to protect judges, but this isn’t the way.
If scientists will not go to politics, then politics will come for science. Today, the UK sees huge wins for the far right party Reform, led by Nigel Farage who wishes to cut climate costs. 🧵/n

Time and time and time again we ridicule the sentinels and listen uncritically to anyone who'll reassure us that everything will be fine if we just ignore every warning and proceed at double speed It would be a stupid way to captain a ship, and it's a terrible way to go about things as a society
