Yesterday’s preliminary anomaly was 2.58°C… can anyone put that into context compared with previous El Niños? Obviously 2015/2016 peaked higher in November and 1982 had a brief high 2.81°. But this year looks truly off the charts. Is the anomaly already higher than 1997?

A big and brutal heatwave will smother the Eastern US next week! Highs 95-100. Heat index 100-115. What really makes the #heatwave standout… the size and longevity… covering half the nation and lasting a full week for many. With all this said, the heat dome intensity will not be unprecedented.

Atmospheric CO2 has passed 430 parts per million. The last time atmospheric CO2 was at 430 ppm was during the ancient Pliocene Era, three to five million years ago, and humans didn’t exist.

We are at the beginning of climate catastrophes, we can reduce these castastrophes but our governments prefer to debate about womens' head wear... or making migrants' children return to a countries they have never lived in.
