Please make it make sense: A 16-year-old will be able to drive a tractor or 90km/h+ light motorcycle, but not a scooter locked to 20km/h

Interesting graph from Sky News in the UK in relation to the falloff in social and affordable housing being built by councils The majority are now built privately - what would a graph like this for the same period in #Ireland look like? Who profits from this change?

Graph showing that the UK built around 300,000 houses in the late 1960s and early 1970s, with roughly half built by local authorities. Now, the UK builds closer to 225,000 per annum with local authorities building a tiny percentage of that overall figure. The UK's population has grown by over 10 million people in that time.

The Coalition leaders have tonight decided to extend the current excise reductions on petrol and diesel until 1 September 2026 in a package totalling €270 million. After this date the previous rates will be gradually restored over four dates from Sept to end of year.
