developers have Cursor - what would the equivalent look like for devops/platform engineers?

year ago one could have said the same thing about learning how to google :)
If you have zero education, but learn how to ask AI models the right questions , in many jobs you will be able to outperform someone with an advanced degree, but who is unwilling to use Large Language Models. Just takes a smartphone, curiosity to experiment and a mindset to learn.
is there a “woke bible” for this “woke religion” one can read and study somewhere?
It's irritating to see these warnings/deprecations when I run `npx create-next-app@latest`. @nextjs.org folks, how can I fix these/get rid of these deprecations? Does it even matter? If I run audit in the project folder, it's has 0 vuln. is this just the create-next-app issue?
if you’re not putting AI everywhere, you should be at least spending time exploring the tools and you’ll immediately see where you could incorporate it.
I created a simple Python script that takes in a tree-like text representation of directory/file structure and makes the actual structure on disk. The time it took to create the script using Claude is comparable to the time I'd spent manually creating the structure.

An (egress) API gateway is *the* point where all your AI consumption should go through.
If you're new to AI, InstructLab is a set of tooling to help anyone (not just data scientists) align an LLM to their specific data. - You continue to own the data in the model - You can do it with private LLMs, so don't share your data with the outside world - It's all based on open source
Welcome to the #InstructLab blog! For the first post, we have "InstructLab, How do I use this thing?" by Charlie Doern with an adorable example 😁 blog.instructlab.ai/2024/11/inst...

If you haven't yet, it's time to start learning and getting hands-on with the Kubernetes Gateway API. It's *the* thing for managing ingress, egress, and east-west traffic. gateway-api.sigs.k8s.io

I plan to submit for @CloudNativeFdn Kubecon EU a topic around preparing and passing the Istio Certified Associate exam. Did you pass the ICA exam? If so, let me know if you want to submit a talk/tutorial together! Email works best (first dot last at solo.io)

I went quickly from "I don't have power, I am cold and need some heat" to "Ugh, they haven't turned on the saunas at the gym yet", once I had the power back
probably the only benefit of barely making a connecting flight is that your luggage will come out first (assuming it makes it)
damn, we didn’t pay that bill. let’s s just say it was a “feature” we wanted to implement anyway 😂
I’ll talk about Kubernetes networking and Cilium next week!! Who’s in? 🙋🏻♂️ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TxPEpArfjwY
Kubernetes networking and Cilium
Cilium is a solution for providing, securing, and observing network connectivity between workloads. In this video, we'll start with the basics of Kubernetes networking and explain how the Container Network Interface (CNI) plugins, such as Cilium, implement the Kubernetes network model.

hi all! I am going live today at 10am pst to talk about service entries in Istio! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=FOFzetag9d4
Configuring external services with Istio's ServiceEntry
In this live stream, we'll talk about Istio's ServiceEntry resource and show how to add additional entries to Istio's internal service registry. ServiceEntry is useful when you want to add external services into the mesh or when you want to add services that Kubernetes do not manage.

I got an exciting podcast idea yesterday. I bet everyone has at least a few domains they purchased but never did anything with? Think of a podcast where we pick a domain and brainstorm what could be built. ISO:co-host/guests willing to come on and chat/brainstorm a bit. https://bit.ly/domainpod
Podcast about unused domain names
Thanks for your interested! I am looking for a co-host and/or guests who'd be willing to bring a couple of their unused domain names and come on a podcast to chat and brainstorm with us what could be built and hosted on that domain. I am willing to commit to doing at least 10 episodes (around 60 minutes each) and see how it goes. If it takes of good, if not, at least we tried.
