Shouldn’t have let my husband see The Odyssey because three days later out of nowhere as I’m folding laundry he just muttered, “You wouldn’t have waited for me for 20 years.”

"Liberal bubble" has only ever meant anywhere where right wing perspectives aren't artificially elevated and forced into everyone's feeds.

What do Bobby Kennedy Jr., his son Bobby Kennedy III, and Rand Paul have in common? They each wrote a book criticizing Tony Fauci, and they share the same publisher, Skyhorse, founded by a close RFK Jr. adviser who also runs the MAHA PAC. www.nytimes.com/2026/08/03/u...
Spotlight on Fauci Said to Boost Book Sales for Kennedy and His Publisher (Gift Article)
Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., his son, and Senator Rand Paul have all written books criticizing Dr. Anthony S. Fauci. All were published by a company led by a close Kennedy adviser.

I dropped a full jar of marinated artichokes that smashed all over the kitchen floor so my trade deadline day was a disaster on a personal level.
The only thing I have to look forward to the rest of the way: Jefry Yan doing the macarena on the mound after he strikes out Alec Bohm in a big spot, hopefully inciting a benches clearing incident.
Pete Alonso in his final year of his Orioles contract and they're still rebuilding
The Phillies galaxy braining this to keep Alec Bohm and Bryson Stott in the lineup is so funny to me.
Moving Bryce to OF, Bohm to 1B, Stott to 3B, and Arraez to 2B is somehow making yourself worse defensively at 4 different positions
Trying very had to drum up excitement for a seller's deadline day, but I can't. It's mostly just depressing to me, no matter how necessary it is.
I love the veneer of rational skepticism used to dismiss credentialed experts and endorse uncritical faith in the most obvious hucksters on Earth. The CDC was wrong about something once, so we have to be ride or die for vaccine truth dot wordpress.
when people say "do your own research" they generally mean "do not trust anyone with any relevant training or experience"
I'm a full Professor of Immunology and fully vaccinated. I didn't get vaccinated out of obedience, but after decades of studying the immune system and evaluating all evidence. Calling that "lack of critical thinking" is not an argument. It's ideology masked as pretend intellect.
Anyone wanna overpay for washed Freddy Peralta out of desperation, by any chance?
Why is Tony La Russa there? And why does the music sound like a funeral?
An hour of dead air is definitely a broadcasting choice. Could have had broadcasters educating the public on the players or the league or the rules or literally anything. It’s rough.
HAPPY WPBL OPENING DAY TO ALL WHO CELEBRATE!!!!
It's ok to release a man's private diary, but not court ordered release of Epstein docs?? Explain it.

science funding and the cherry picking problem
Science publishing–like all of science–requires money. There’s no getting around it, even with the open science movement. What appears free to many authors and readers still requires money and infr…

It took me way too many internet search steps but I have figured out that I can indeed watch the WPBL games. Yay!
I am not surprised that falling asleep early caused me to miss a Mets trade but I am surprised it was for Benny Agbayani’s son lol.
You can take a player out of the Mets but you can’t take the Mets out of the player.
So, Harrison Bader having a “scooter accident” with an already injured foot easily met the clown threshold, the details make it a five ring circus.

New, from me: It is fine to disagree with aspects of the pandemic response. But what we saw at Fauci's hearing was something different: a show trial where cranks tried to threaten and shift blame to an public servant. Here is why this is bad for all of us.🧵 donmoynihan.substack.com/p/watching-t...

The New York Mets are making the startup Novig their official prediction-market partner, marking a first for Major League Baseball as the prediction-markets industry looks for a foothold in professional sports. on.wsj.com/4wqyNJO
Wasn’t pretty but it was three points on the road in a midweek game after a cross country flight. Huge.
Donald Trump is ruining the Cherry Blossom 10 Miler race course with his goddamn arch.
I am the same way. I am an adequate cook - neither good nor bad - but I don’t enjoy it. I deeply wish I did.
Perhaps my greatest moral failing is that I do not like cooking. I still do it because it is the most efficient way to make food cheap and healthy, but it's just any other chore. It is the same as doing the dishes or cleaning the bathroom. There is no dish, no technique, no gadget that fixes this.
The one in which the Mets are serving as the national baseball media’s living, breathing counter argument against the ownership narrative that a salary cap is necessary.
