2/ Canada’s participation in this spectacle puts progressive Canadians at real risk. It’s outrageous, and the Prime Minister owes Canadians an explanation as to why he’s involving our country in this ugly episode.
1/ Trump is fuelling a new McCarthyism that is both delusional and dangerous. It’s clearly intended to crack down on Americans who are resisting his anti-democratic agenda. It’s also a serious escalation of violent authoritarianism from our next door neighbour.

When I say they're putting "Albertans at risk," what I mean is that the longer an orphan well sits unreclaimed, the longer Alberta taxpayers are stuck paying compensation to landowners on behalf of delinquent companies & the longer landowners are stuck living next to derelict infrastructure. #ABLeg

But the latest levy set by Alberta's energy regulator is only $154.6 million, just 9% of what's required for cleanup. Letting profitable companies off the hook. #ABLeg
