Common Tailorbird south east Aisa Male helps by gathering nesting materials, while the female does the intricate leaf-sewing. The female does most or all of the specialized work. She uses her beak like a needle to pierce holes in leaves and stitches them together with plant fibers or spider silk.

With shadows of the Grade II-listed North Eastern Railway footbridge, which frames the train as it departs, cast on the platform and opposite platform and building visible, now a private home, to its left, the Class 156 departs eastwards.

A couple of minutes after 2N25, was Northern No. 156469 with 2N38 Hexham to Newcastle (16.04 ex-Hexham) departing eastwards below Wylam's fine signalbox as passengers leave the station. Slower response than the Nikon so closer shot didn't work!📸: ©️ Graeme Pickering

With the white front and side walls of the Boathouse Inn just visible to the left of frame and beer kegs stacked in the yard, the Class 156 makes its way under the fine red and cream over track signal box at Wylam with red girder and brick supports as passengers leave the platform and walk out of shot to the right. After hours of charging its battery, my old Samsung NX5 did well on its first trip out for five years. @northernassist No. 156463 dropped off and picked up plenty of passengers at 16.23 yesterday on 2N25 Newcastle to Hexham. 📸: ©️Graeme Pickering

Haven't been out for ages to take photos and unfortunately the Nikon needs some attention so I'm hastily reviving my ancient Samsung NX5 camera - the first one I bought (which was old even then) when I started writing for railway mags. Join me later to see if it's still up to the job.
