What Dolly taught us is that it is in fact possible to be wealthy beyond your wildest dreams of avarice but still be a fundamentally good person with a strong moral compass, and the only reason more rich people aren't like that is because they don't want to be.

I always found it admirable that Dolly seemed totally awestruck by Whitney’s “I Will Always Love You” No jealousy, no protectiveness of her own work, just joy that somebody had taken the song she wrote and made something new and special out of it.

Texas’s drag ban was found to be unconstitutional this morning and one of the plaintiffs who brought the suit was an Austin-based drag queen who often impersonates Dolly Dolly was named in the final judgement itself and after hearing about the lawsuit, she sent that drag queen a signed guitar

every billionaire & tech mogul, they all want to be adored & celebrated without doing the things Dolly did with a fraction of the power & money. What she had, she gave away. I'm sure she was comfortable (& that's good!). But she just relentlessly helped. It's not that difficult. Love. Care. Help. 💚🌸

(3/3) Dolly called and asked if there was any way to help with this tragedy. Abumrad replied she was on a vaccine research team but it was expensive and they were still seeking grants. When Dolly heard this she replied "Well I have money" and donated $1m. Abumrad's team produced the Moderna vaccine.
