My son and I stopped at the casino to buy Krispy Kreme Pokémon donuts, got lost, and were randomly gifted two tickets to a Goo Goo Dolls concert. In the hallway. By a nice man who literally said “it’s not a trap the seats are nowhere near me.”

I’m supposed to have a fun long weekend away but my (son’s) cat (senior tabby girl) is acting sick again (uti). His sister and dad are away. I have plans tomorrow. We both have plans with my brother Sunday. I requested a med refill, I will go to Petco tomorrow. But I can’t take much more of this.

It’s very hard for me to care about Ted Lasso without Jamie Tartt. I like the team and I like Alice but they don’t get enough attention to fill the Jamie shaped hole in my heart.

“Be Strong enough to be gentle.” Peter Cullen tells the story of how his brother inspired the voice he would use to play Optimus Prime. It’s a simple yet poignant quote that sums up why Optimus and Peter are so beloved. Til All Are One. 💔

Damn it. Tim Curry's gone home. If we take nothing else from the two losses these past two days it's to proudly be who you are. Fuck the haters RIP Tim Curry. You inspired a generation of horror kids and outsiders not to dream it, but to be it. Thank you

One of my favourite Dolly Parton stories. Chatting to one of her employees one day, she asked why he’d decided to work at Dollywood. To fund his education, he said. She immediately paid 100% of his college fees & then offered the same deal to all 11,000 employees. www.upworthy.com/dollywood-co...

my wife has a friend who sent Dolly Parton a painting she made & a letter explaining how much Dolly's music meant to her while she was transitioning. Dolly responded to it personally & paid for her top surgery. Sounds like an urban legend but it's real. I think we're going to more stories like this.

not sure how to express this without sounding like a chair-turned-around youth pastor, but there's something so radical about having your most well-known lyric be "i will always love you" and then sincerely embodying it whenever possible
