Chicago teen shares his experience in ICE detention centers: I am 18 years old and I just graduated from high school in Chicago. I was in ICE detention for 2 months and 10 days. They kept me in solitary for 2 days for no reason, alone in a room with just a toilet. They never let us go outside.

Thousands hit Houston streets from Magnolia Park to his memorial, demanding justice for Lorenzo Salgado Araujo and Johan Durán Guerrero! The community is standing united to end federal terror and push ICE out of Texas—and out of EVERYWHERE. Justice now!

(1/2) Lorenzo Salgado Araujo’s family & anyone harmed by ICE must be heard. I’m traveling to Houston with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus & the House Homeland Security Committee Minority to meet with his family & other Texans about ICE’s brutality.

Security camera footage obtained from local businesses showed individuals who are believed to be U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers surrounding a car and pulling the driver onto the street, in events connected to the fatal shooting of a man in a coastal town in Maine on July 13.

The reason why ICE agents continue to shoot people is because nothing ever happens to them when they do. They essentially have been granted full immunity for whatever they choose to do to people by a lawless regime of thugs.

This morning in Biddeford, Maine, a 26-year-old man said goodbye to his wife and daughter and left for work. Moments later he was dead, shot in the head by ICE agents, the second man ICE has killed in six days. ICE is killing our neighbors. ICE cannot be reformed. Abolish ICE.

Former NFL star Colin Kaepernick helped fund the independent autopsy for 18 year old Nolan Wells. His foundation stepped in to cover the costs so the family could have the examination conducted outside Mississippi, amid concerns over a lack of transparency and trust with local authorities.

Three witnesses were in the van with Lorenzo Salgado Araujo Per their attorney: no ramming, no danger to agents & no reasonable basis to open fire Unreasonable force opens these agents to liability This is becoming another national outrage & it should be👇 -TN

Rep. Sylvia Garcia: "Apparently ICE has learned nothing. If they really think a car is gonna hurt somebody, even a kid would tell you you shoot the tires, you don't shoot the driver."

A Police Executive Research Forum report from 2014 showed that CBP officers were purposely placing themselves in front of moving vehicles, and then shooting at them. This isn’t something that can be reformed. Abolish ICE. www.npr.org/sections/the...

Border Patrol Releases New Use-Of-Force Guidelines, Critical Report

U.S. Customs and Border Protection Commissioner R. Gil Kerlikowske said the release was a push for more transparency. The agency had previously declined to make changes recommended by the panel.

SHOCK NYT REPORT: DHS now admits the man ICE killed in Houston wasn't even their target. Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, a 35-year U.S. resident, was just driving to work when agents — with no body cameras — shot him dead searching for two other men who weren't even in the van. Gift link in reply.

KEY: all three witnesses are being detained apart, and their story is consistent. They say that there were agents along the side of the vehicle but none in front. When you add the videos showing a lack of evidence of damage to the front despite ICE's ramming claim, ICE's story is falling apart.

“That is a lie,” wrote Jose Trinidad Rojas, 51, in a handwritten statement. “It is impossible for them to say that they were going to get run over … there were no officers in front of or behind the vehicle. They were on the sides.”

Balderas-Ibarra spoke to Rojas, Daniel Tirado Pantoja, 43, and the shooting victim’s brother, Victor Salgado, 44, and said he heard the same story from each as he interviewed them separately. The men are not being housed together, the attorney said. All three are undocumented Mexican immigrants who are now facing removal proceedings.

“All of them reiterated that there were never any ICE agents in front of the van,” Balderas-Ibarra said. “They came in and started shooting from the sides.”

All 3 men inside of the van with Lorenzo Salgado Araujo “‘reiterated that there were never any ICE agents in front of the van…They came in and started shooting from the sides.’” www.washingtonpost.com/immigration/...

The son of the man shot and killed by ICE: I am Ronaldo Salgado, the oldest son of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo. He should've been picking up the last of his guys before heading to finish up construction. Unbeknownst to all of us, my dad had been shot inside his van by ICE agents in unmarked cars.

And DHS has been desperately trying to get these three witnesses to self deport. ICE has been using the “weaponized vehicle” excuse to murder people for a decade plus. It’s all coming out now with the microscope on them. www.washingtonpost.com/immigration/...

Migrants who saw man killed by ICE in Houston say he did not ram officers

Three men who were in the vehicle alongside Lorenzo Salgado Araujo are contesting the Department of Homeland Security’s account of the fatal shooting.

Video shows the moments before ICE shot a worker who lived for 35 years in the United States. It appears to show it was ICE attempting to initiate contact with his vehicle, not the worker attempting to "ram" ICE agents
