A lot of intra-Dem fighting is b/c factions are forced into competing in a single primary electorate. It'd be much healthier if it was openly a matter of each going out and winning its share of seats in accordance w/ its general election votes and then having an inter-party coalition shaped by that.

I thing a lot of the frustration over Polis' clemency for Peters was simply this: Colorado saw the insurrectionists who were convicted being pardoned by Trump, but at least we could say, Colorado is different. We hold people accountable. Polis blew that up. It was insulting to our state pride.
American style democracy is a joke. at the national level your vote is increasingly literally meaningless because of the Electoral College and gerrymandering. at the local level you’re supposed to vote for random party functionary offices you’ve got to be 9 levels deep to know what they even do
