Nintendo can move slow sometimes because they're a big company and the people with decision making authority are usually pretty high up the ladder, but they almost always do at least have someone at ground level that knows about the problem. Them taking action here probably saved the event series.

also, i wouldn’t have found a second family in the comp community if it weren’t for my dad. we played games on his ps1 together when i was little, and that influenced the types of games i like to play, especially splatoon. i was able to tell him about it and i thanked him before he passed away.
