Missouri elections be like: Hitler (R) 79% - Christ (D) 21% And then the ballot initiative: Amend the Missouri constitution to require the state to own the means of production and work towards full communism? Yes 92% - No 8%
I'm sorry to say this is what every bluesky urbanist with a bicycle fetish looks like in my imagination.

#BalzacTogether Their children—like all children born of love—inherited the mother’s beauty and nothing else, a gift that is often fatal when accompanied by poverty.
Giant bird of prey circling over Calvary and Rosehill: turkey vulture, or? Wingspan seemed larger than the hawks around here but I am no professional birder. Are the eagles up here yet?
I adore the webcams that look out over the water, but the beach surveillance cameras feel invasive. I can't think of anything that would ruin the vibe of going to the beach like knowing you are on camera at any given moment. And I feel this way about pics of local beaches that aren't zoomed out.

This week's #TwentiesTuesday garment is this black silk flapper dress embellished with a hand-beaded trompe l'oeil tasseled belt. The centre tassel is only connected at the top so that it would swing when the wearer moved. Sold by Shrimpton Couture. #fashionhistory
I don't know if I saw four or five separate bats tonight or was being stalked by one particular bat, but either way a half hour is a long time to share your personal space with a bat. 🦇
Blue city ✔️ Tree ✔️ Ugliness ✔️ The day this photo was taken, Bovino and his Nazi henchmen raided this city and terrorized, kidnapped, physically assaulted, and drew weapons at members of our community. This tree has been my pinned profile pic since that day.
Lake forever, problems for now.
I kinda get JB's pro-cop behavior as he represents the entire state which includes a lot of very ignorant yahoos,* but Alexi? This has gotta be about organized crime or something. Keep the police happy so they leave the "businessmen" alone?
a lobotomy is when they remove one or both of the wolves — lobos — inside of you
We've reached the trashy part of Rohmer Summer, and I'm not mad about it.
A starry night walking home at the weekend reminded me of this fancy dress costume worn by Marjorie Merriweather Post in 1926, a dark sky chock full of beaded stars plus all of the sparkly accessories #HillwoodMuseum #FashionHistory 🗃️🪡

Really wish businesses I want to support would stop using Insta in lieu of a normal website. And while I'm on the topic, I wish business hours, location, and contact info were not buried under weird marketing pitch power point presentations on their websites.

A delicate corn-field dress for Lammas, for running through the edgelands, through the yarrow & the poppies under a baleful dog-star bright in the ebbing sky. For slow witchcraft & trembling hare wisdom & the settling of old accounts, a heavy purse cast in a clear, cold brook.
The rain held off, the medicine kicked in, and we switched our RSVP to a low key place in town instead. Fortuitously! Do you miss the fine dining experience of the 80's & 90s? Let me tell you about The Alcove. Frasier Crane ass restaurant. I was the youngest person there and can't wait to go back.
The devastating storm that tore through last week did not trigger a migraine, but today's rain has. The obvious explanation for this is that I'm supposed to go to a fancy celebration dinner tonight.
