My days literally fly by as I rush to get this software ready.

Even a crooked regime wants an honest accountant.
Ok it is pretty funny to say “well, without the people selling all this AI to enterprises, there wouldn’t be demand for AI Capex” yet another Ed Zitron banger
AI is effective for knowledge work and yeah basically all jobs are going to be managing it, I think you're going to see a lot of outsourcing because business process outsourcers are going to be able to use AI to do a lot of the heavy lifting in a way that it may not make sense for SME to do.
thinking about the nightmare future where AI *is* effective for knowledge work and that *doesn't* destroy all the jobs but but *does* turn every job in to purely managerial and strategy-alignment work because implementation becomes free
I'm not really convinced higher bond rates are going to be such a huge issue as to meaningfully constrain the next administration.
Building an AI application is interesting because the application is basically just a giant context passing machine. You need to whisper the right things into a demon's ear so it can reason its way through writing a workpaper. You can then summon a stronger demon review it.
The funniest problem I’m having getting LLMs to do my job is that they are too thorough and will fail stuff that a reasonable auditor would pass.
I saw your post where you made something called a “joke” instead of ranting on about my personal political hobby horse 24/7, and I want you to know, I’m about to make it your problem
WSJ story about a collectibles bidding app a guy maxxed out his credit cards, drained his savings, his wife left him, he lost his job, sold his house. he went $1.3mm in the hole buying baseball cards. the kicker? he's repaying his debt, back on the app and $37K down www.wsj.com/business/ret...

Asking gamblers why they’re gambling and actually believing them when they say “I see no other way to get ahead in life” is incredible.

Missouri elections be like: Hitler (R) 79% - Christ (D) 21% And then the ballot initiative: Amend the Missouri constitution to require the state to own the means of production and work towards full communism? Yes 92% - No 8%
I have back to back meetings for five hours today, let’s go
I made this post and then went and did something and I have now come back to find that the McMorrow vote is greater than the extremely narrow gap between AES and Stevens. You should have appealed to us instead of taking us for granted!
Don't care, still voting McMorrow.
VR porn has improved a lot in the last 40 years, some people are just philistines
Food, man. Food is so much better than it was in 1986. All of it. Poor-people food, restaurant food, fresh food, frozen food. Food is just a hell of a lot better.

I want a politician to speak to the real issues effecting people like me today: why am I so eepy all the time?
The best thing about Vote Blue No Matter Who is that it unloads a lot of cognitive burden. I wanted Tom Steyer to be in the Governor's race, but he's not so I'm gonna vote for Becerra. I don't follow his campaign at all: I'm voting for him because he's not a Republican.
I made the comment "I'm back with cherry tomatoes" when I was on a call and bringing back some snacking tomatoes and someone said it was like getting back together with an ex and then I drew it and this is it.
I don’t know who will win in Michigan but I promise I will use either result to get cheap political hits in on politicans I don’t like, that’s the regime promise

ARMY OF DARKNESS is 81 minutes long. It retells EVIL DEAD II in about 3 minutes. Still has time for a whole slapstick Gulliver's Travels thing. Baby, this is efficiency
