Helvetes jävla skit Fuck Cancer! Mamma ❤️ Håll alla tummar ni har, å ge mig värme och livets go’saker. Det ser inte bra ut.. 😔

80 hours of embroidery! This aerial landscape is directly inspired by Dartmoor and I'd say I have another 30-ish hours to go? I'm now starting to fill in the fields for the sheep, the tor area will be done last as I'm still deciding whether I want a slope or not 😅 I hope you like it! #art

An embroidery hoop containing a sewn aerial-view landscape. It depicts a moorland scene in a range of green shades, about 70% completed.

😄 RB=❤️

Yes it could be argued that keeping up with world events is important but alternatively can I interest you in hugging an ancient mossy boulder that looks like a face and quietly listening while it tells you stories from centuries cloaked in mist.

A lovely mossy boulder with a face. I walked past this venerable stone gentleman on Dartmoor when I was beginning to write my first novel, Villager, and it whispered all 104,000 words of the book to me. So now I have to pay it all of my royalties. Unfortunately my ex-publisher stopped paying me royalties last year. Understandable, the boulder was not happy. But now I have a new publisher and the book has been republished. So remember if you purchase a copy you will be helping a boulder to eat, pay the rent on his riverside moss garden, and feed his boulder family.

"asked Meta /../ why its publicity had been blocked,it was told “any mention of civil rights, feminism or social reform [topics that are central to Woolf’s work] are usually classified as ‘social topics’ by our automatic system” and are filtered out." 😳😤

A miniature masterpiece from 40,000 years ago! 🦣 🤩 This tiny carved mammoth figurine measures a mere 3.7 cm in length, yet the #IceAge artist captured naturalistic detail with aesthetic perfection! Mammoth ivory. Vogelherd Cave, Germany 📷 by me #Archaeology

My photo shows a tiny mammoth figurine carved from mammoth ivory some 40,000 years ago, dated to the Aurignacian culture. It is one of the oldest known works of portable art. It is viewed in profile with head to left, mounted on a thin dark metal display stand against a dark background. Although the figurine only measures 3.7 cm in length the artist suceeded in capturing naturalistic details combined with an aesthetic eye to create a tiny object which encapsulates the characteristic form, power, and beauty of the animal. The ivory is weathered, now a mottled yellowish-greyish-brown colour. The mammoth’s head is rounded with a long, slightly inward curved trunk. At the back of the head, the upper back rises into a distinctive rounded shoulder hump giving it a characteristic woolly mammoth form. The line of the lower back and rump slope downwards to a short pointed tail. The body is large with thick rounded forelegs, and slightly shorter, thick hind legs, giving it a massive and powerful appearance. It was found in 2006 in the spoil heap from the earlier 1931 excavations at the Vogelherd Cave in the Lone Valley in Germany’s Swabian Jura. The Ice Age caves of the Swabian Jura are a UNESCO World Heritage site.
