The Polygon Treehouse art style was arrived at by working with creative limitations and had become part of the DNA of our games.
As Orson Welles said: "The enemy of art is the absence of limitations." And in that sense I think it's a defining feature of indie games. Some creative limitation that is powering interesting outcomes. the fact that they aren't big teams making lavish productions.. is the entire point.

Started playing Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island in between runs of Slay the Spire and I'm really enjoying it! Love the character designs especially. And the story has me so intrigued!

Today I'm implementing a puzzle I first designed about a year ago and I'm pretty excited about it.
My biggest tip for authoring curated cinematic cameras is that maintaining broad player direction across camera cuts is critical. One good way to do this is to build your world to work for the camera flow you want, rather than trying to author cameras for a pre-existing world layout.
