Due to excessive heat and Multnomah County's State of Emergency, we will not turn away any riders Tuesday who are seeking a cooling shelter for lack of valid fare. The emergency declaration is expected to last until at least 10pm.

TriMet will not turn away anyone who is traveling to and from a cooling center who is unable to pay fare between 11 a.m. and 10 p.m. today (Tuesday, July 21). Please tell your bus operator that you’re heading to or from a cooling center.

Portland Sunday Parkways Presented by Kaiser Permanente returns to East Portland this Sunday, June 28, from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.! Join PBOT & explore 4 miles of car-free streets connecting Ventura Park, Lincoln Park, Parklane Park, & our newest addition to this route, Verdell Burdine Rutherford Park.

Participants are welcome to join the route at any point and head in any direction. The route features newly completed improvements for biking and walking in East Portland.

TriMet won't turn away anyone riding to or from a cooling center who cannot pay fare between 11 a.m. and 10 p.m. today, Monday, June 15. Please tell your bus operator that you're heading to or from a cooling center.
