A few years ago my mom sent me some cryptic texts and when I called her she told me to go where my husband couldn't hear. I was worried it was something really bad, but it turned out she rescued this limited edition Blockbuster promo Spider-Man from being trashed and wanted to surprise him. 😂
My mom: "Call me." Me, assuming something terrible has happened: "What's going on?!" Her: "Check your texts. I bought you a 4-foot disco ball skeleton." 💀
She's a ten but her favorite episode of Columbo is Last Salute to the Commodore.
To be quite frank, I'm desperate for work. I really need something full time, but even if it's just for one project or part-time hours, at this point I'm happy to pitch in. If you or someone you know is looking to hire, please let me know.
I've been unemployed for 16 months after a mass layoff. I'm reaching the limits of my resources and need your help to find a full-time job. My background is 20+ years in editing/communications, but I'm open to any type of work where I can use my skills. Please share and/or reach out with leads!
Every day I log on and immediately read half a dozen things that make me want to run screaming into the woods.
It's a really weird time to be online and named Natalie

[rests pennies on Columbia House's eyes]
After 71 years, Columbia House is finally shutting down
I spent my whole life trying to be strong and emotionally regulated, and now I’m perimenopausal and processing 45 years of repressed feelings because I went to get an Oreo and forgot I ate all the Oreos last night.
Persona 3 was the first time I played a video game that really blew my mind. I was in awe of the creativity in the storytelling, and how they balanced the emotional core of the social gameplay with some truly dark and creepy battle elements.
Name a videogame that changed the way you see games.
Flipping a coin every time I load Bluesky today like
We were watching the British version of Antiques Roadshow, and a ghostly painting of a fancy lad came on screen, so naturally I yelled, "HAUNTED!" and the speed at which my dad's head whipped up from his phone game to look at it is the only paternity test I'll ever need.

Bought a body pillow to try to help with joint pain and I vastly underestimated the size, so now I'm basically just a wig away from being able to have a Ferris Bueller-style adventure.
It's been a rough week, so we treated ourselves to some mystery LEGO minifigs. It's like the universe knew what to send us.
Sitting in bed listening to my husband lay out the timeline of Ronald McDonald actors, as one does.
I just found out that my childhood Ronald McDonald was the same actor that played Shtarker on GET SMART and the alien captain in TEENAGERS FROM OUTER SPACE: King Moody. I love discovering these connecting threads in my pop culture past that I never knew.
I feel like their first mistake was rubbing it with both cyclospora and salmonella, but what do I know about testing cutting boards.
When the hiring team tries to write a rejection email with a sympathetic tone
If I haven't left a review yet, the tenth email asking me to leave a review is not going to inspire me to suddenly go tell people what I think about the replacement filter for my air purifier.
