Day 2 of Dream Lab @pricelab.bsky.social complete! Today, we covered OCR and HTR and how to process unstructured data (texts) into structured data through Tf-Idf. After that, we learned 3 methods to understand similarities between texts using Tf-Idf, LDA (topic modeling), and XML tagging!

This form is part of the #DHmakes Mail Art Collaboration for ACH 2026, a community-driven project that invites participants to create, share, and exchange small crafted or artistic works through the mail. Inspired by the spirit of a neighborhood “picnic,” this initiative brings together digital humanists, makers, and curious participants to connect through making, whether that means zines, prints, textiles, small objects, or experimental forms. All levels of experience are welcome, including first attempts, unfinished ideas, and “learning through making.” By filling out this form, you help us coordinate participation, estimate the number of contributions, and organize the exchange of materials. Our goal is not perfection, but connection: to build a shared, material experience that complements the conference and extends beyond it, fostering collaboration, multilingual exchange, and a sense of collective care within the #DHmakes community. Important dates: April 27 – Deadline to sign up By May 1 – Participants will receive confirmation and number of items to produce May 1 – May 30 – Making period June 1 – Deadline to mail your contribution By June 12 – Packets assembled and shipped to participant During ACH 2026 – Virtual gathering to share and open contributions together
