Intersting thread. Never watched it, but I always assumed there was a good faith argument for it's importance, and that even being destable was part of the story. "The evolution of film is tied up with something disgusting, and we have to own that," but apparently no, people actually like BOAN.

I went a different way than thrift store. And played as the naive and kind (so Iconoclast with a smidge dogmatic) Isekai hereoine Catarina Claes from My Next Life as a Villainess. Sophia from her bisexual harem is a lot like Cassia too (shelted noble who loves books, and is albino and shunned).

100% I mean if the reason you don't like someone is what they're doing than focus on that. I remember all the people who would deadname Caitlyn Jenner "cause she didn't deserve respect," no she doesn't but if you mock her for being trans you mock all trans people. Same with disability and illness.

I will never ever stop saying that it’s super important to direct insults at the bigots/facists/terrible people who deserve them, and not the many good people on your side. The way people immediately turn to ableism or body shaming, rather than the choices someone makes. 1/ #ableism

Fam has cable, keep seeing this commercial. I really think they don't mean to dog whistle. That'd be the weirdest thing ever: Get insurance from us, we're racist *wink*! But has seriously no one told them to change the advert to under 15 dollars, or just change their price by like a couple cents?
