We’ve tried nothing and we’re all out of ideas.

During today’s Senate judiciary hearing, Sen. Grassley credited Todd Blanche with reducing violent crime rates. Crime rates started going down during the Biden administration after a spike in 2020 during the pandemic under Trump‘s watch.

Tillis and Cornyn have caved to Trump’s $100 million IRS immunity, but that’s just one reason to reject him as AG. Here are many more:

2/ Example: Straw Man: Health officials locked us down, pretending a mild disease was deadly. Fact: Health officials asked people to stay away from others so vulnerable folks, for whom the disease was not mild, didn't overwhelm hospitals so much that they stopped functioning.

Today in detecting deception is a straw man. It's where you pretend someone said something they didn't because it's easier for you to argue against the straw man than with what they actually said. It's a tactic in a bad faith argument.

Chief Shultz wrote he would do this a couple days ago, but downplayed it as something done routinely. I want to point out, the implication here is managers must be directed by the Chief to “let the people go.” Why might managers be reluctant to let the people go? The answer of course, below.
