whats the algo situation rn? i have some feeds, but how do i curate them so its not purely chronological? (sidenote: an algo idea would be some sort of prioritization of best posts since last refresh to deemphasize purely chronological)

very interesting escaping the imposed algo and the distortions created by it is definitely one of the draws of bluesky as an alternative

Noticed that as of right now, The Menswear Guy’s last two posts have more total engagement on here than they have on Twitter where he has ~4x the followers. If that website’s algorithms are even broken for a giant account like his, then they’re broken for everyone else who’s not far-right as well.

there are a lot of reasons i’ve mostly shifted to this app. though im a lay person, there seems to be a lot of potential with the underlying technology, but maybe even more importantly is the mindset and vision of the team that they demonstrate every day this is the way

it’s not called tpot unless it comes from the tpot region of twitter, otherwise it is just a sparkly, densely connected subgraph of twitter power users (also called tpot—no relation)
