whats the algo situation rn? i have some feeds, but how do i curate them so its not purely chronological? (sidenote: an algo idea would be some sort of prioritization of best posts since last refresh to deemphasize purely chronological)

unintended consequences are undefeated this is the difference beteeen working with complex systems with independent actors responding to the changing dynamics versus systems where you can generally model how all the components will interact

there are a lot of reasons i’ve mostly shifted to this app. though im a lay person, there seems to be a lot of potential with the underlying technology, but maybe even more importantly is the mindset and vision of the team that they demonstrate every day this is the way

Even if I were the nicest, wisest benevolent dictator to ever grace the face of the earth (and I can make no guarantees about that), the companies that run social platforms outlast individual leadership. This public square would inevitably be ruined like any other.

it’s not called tpot unless it comes from the tpot region of twitter, otherwise it is just a sparkly, densely connected subgraph of twitter power users (also called tpot—no relation)
