“Vote for your 38 Top Posters of Bluesky!!” I’d rather vote for, then relive, the 38 worst stomach viruses I’ve ever had (consecutively) than give one whit about “BlueSky’s best posters.”

Ever played Energy Breaker (SNES)? Or even heard of it? Released only in Japan in 1996, it’s an isometric strategy RPG from Neverland, the studio behind Lufia. Thanks to an English fan translation, Western players can experience this great classic gem!

Published in The New England Journal of Medicine. Peer-reviewed. Large sample size. Sound methodology. An antiviral pill has, for the FIRST time, been shown to PREVENT COVID-19 in individuals exposed to SARS-CoV-2. Ensitrelvir blocks the enzyme coronaviruses need to make new copies of themselves.

LRT: Nothing gives me greater pleasure than turning on Tower of Doom or Shadow Over Mystara with friends who have never played either before and just watching/hearing their jaws drop as they play. Scrolling through an inventory?? “That motion + button does WHAT?!” “OH, SHIT, DISPLACER BEAST!!” 💙

Dungeons & Dragons: Shadow over Mystara, a 1996 arcade adaptation of TSR's D&D campaign setting by Capcom, had a number of regional flyers created to help promote it. One of these was a multi-page "secret file" that came out in Japan filled with concept art, illustrations, and even a developer Q&A!

This page shows a number of concept design illustrations with commentary from the artist on the thought process behind some of the smaller details (like a backpack!). Kinu Nishimura was responsible for the character designs behind the game.

(source: https://flyers.arcade-museum.com/videogames/show/1732)These two pages show additional illustrations including a few prototype sketches for the characters players can choose to be in the game. Taking up a big section of the page were sketeches for "Immmortals", or the patron deities for each character class. In TSR's TTRPG Mystara setting for D&D, Immortals were its gods.

(source: https://flyers.arcade-museum.com/videogames/show/1732)These two pages describe the major character classes via illustrations and captions (such as showing the Dwarf having a good time while buried in a pile of treasure!) along with a few more concept sketches (such as for the Thief and the Magic User).

(source: https://flyers.arcade-museum.com/videogames/show/1732)This page was dedicated to short Q&A capsules by the developers describing their roles and what they were responsible for in the game.

Hey! Bandcamp Friday is here. An excellent day to support musicians. A suggestion: Go and leave a comment if you pick up something that really speaks to you. The money is always appreciated - but feedback is golden. It's a gigantic motivator and can really lift up an artist more than you realize.

If you have a pet that sometimes snags your clothes, or if you're clumsy like me, I've found Dritz Snag Nab It to be very useful. It's a needle with rough grooves on the tail end. Push the needle through the cloth and it'll pull the snag to the fabric's underside, where it will be hidden.

A green plaid flannel shirt with two snags on the face side of the fabric. There's a Snag Nab It needle next to the snag. The same flannel shirt, but the snags have disappeared. A photo of the underside of the cloth. The snag is now on the underside.

I don't know, I don't get why Sony didn't just roll the various Live Services "that failed" into PS+ as time moved on. Keep them open and in development, eventually toss them onto the PS+ upper tiers-on-downward. It allows potential for the games to grow, keeps widening the audience over time.

Going Live!! Subtember continues as we are getting closer and closer to our first goal of a "ninja way" emote raffle! Themed doodles continue! SnekTember, SnepTember, SkunkTemper, StepTember! Will see if we think of more! Come Join the fun www.twitch.tv/exvarn

Something we’ve lost in those 25 years is what Adult Swim really defined, a thrilling sense of weirdness where you really believed the bosses must have no fucking idea what’s actually on their network in the middle of the night. More than any one show, that FEELING was most influential on me.

On this day in 2001, Cartoon Network's nighttime programming block Adult Swim has launched. Happy 25th Anniversary!!! That is my favorite nighttime block on Cartoon Network!

Can't help myself, gotta post this one early 😳 Verisith has been hanging out with Misaki a lot lately! And... Misa is a great hostess... Always so many snacks...! Verisith didn't realize that cookies make you fat..... #weightgainart

I don't like staring at a project I left behind due to time constraints. Just wasting space on my hard drive, mocking me. So I parked my butt down today to figure it all out again. 2 hours later, I figured it all out BY MYSELF. Established a work flow. Optimized it. Now the problem is NOTHING~
