I know he has a lot on, but in the midst of a ferocious drought, fires, heat events and severe threats to food production, it would be quite edifying to hear Andy Burnham mention climate breakdown.

We're in a drought. All the grass is dead and brown, soil is cracked and dry, everything is wilting, wildlife is struggling. My MP has launched a website so that residents can complain to the council to have the few plants & wildflowers still surviving in the city removed as "unsightly weeds". 😓

Utter chaos in court tomorrow as, according to the daily court listings, 1855 people from Defend Our Juries are listed to appear in courtrooms at Westminster Magistrates Court on the same day. Many with incorrect names/details, relating to cases the court said were adjourned.

This is a sickening example of cultural vandalism. I can't explain how much I loathe these people.

I've not seen more than a couple hours of quickly evaporating drizzle in nearly six weeks of high temperatures. In southwest England, - normally known for wet weather. Hoping we get some proper rain tonight but the amount forecast already seems to have been downgraded.

Didn't take Burnham long to make himself complicit in war crimes. Once US bombers take off from UK airbases, there's no method for oversight of where the bombs will be dropped, and we know many of them are hitting civilians or civilian infrastructure. Disgusting that he allows this to continue.

Just did a very scary thing. Rang my next door neighbour's doorbell to talk to them about my sustainability gardening community organising project, and invite them to join. They did! I thought they might because they've got a lovely garden, but it was still a social-anxiety filled first step. 😅

Bedroom is too hot and no airflow. Resting on a camp bed in the back yard for now.

I ordered a fan to help deal with the heat, but the seller sent it with Evri. According to their tracking, they picked it up, but for over a week it hasn't moved on from "We're processing your parcel at our hub". Perhaps I'll get it in time for winter.
