COVID-19 hasn’t gone since 2020 and has always been airborne. We need a respirator mask mandate for everyone in healthcare settings. Not having one is causing it to spread more, and sicken and disable more. In room air filtration can also help. #abpoli #ableg edmontonjournal.com/news/covid-p...
Patrick Lennox: Alberta Separatism is Moral Treason Not a criminal code offence. A moral offence. Arguably, in this context, even more dangerous. The best response? Get involved. Defend your country. Push back against the separatists. Vote on Oct 19. youtu.be/l2bYx_G4o1I

Another important reason we all must vote to stay in Canada. Report after report have shown that separation would be disastrous for our economy, our housing market and now our health care system. www.ctvnews.ca/edmonton/art...
More than half of doctors surveyed would leave an independent Alberta: medical group
Hundreds of physicians would not practise in Alberta if the province leaves Confederation, a survey by the organization that represents doctors in the province indicates.

I just filed my Friday column about the upcoming Alberta referendum & the active campaigns by the Russians & Americans to undermine Canada’s national unity. I pull no punches. 🇨🇦💪
Canada: "COVID patients lumped together in Edmonton hospital" COVID outbreaks are hitting hospital wards, infecting patients admitted for other illnesses. Hospital staff warn: “If one person in that room has COVID, you know the next three are going to get it if they’re not already sick with COVID.”
I have a beloved neighbour in hospital with hip replacement surgery and am terribly worried for her.
“Havoc is hitting hospitals as patients hospitalized for some other acute illness are getting COVID, adding to the complexity of care — and Alberta’s COVID vaccinations aren’t available yet, and the province’s low vaccination rate isn’t helping.” #abpoli edmontonjournal.com/news/covid-p...
Also I don’t think that we should wait a year to deal with the UCP … elections need to be called!
Rachel Notley on Danielle Smith: "I don't see the calling of this referendum as a strategic ploy on her part to kill the issue. I think she's been throwing gas on the fire from day one."
We’ve been fighting misinformation and disinformation for years, while worrying about the rise of people dying from refusing vaccines and using snake oil to treat illlnesses. Turns out, taking out the source of disinformation works, something individuals couldn’t do by themselves. 🧪 A primer:
Google searches for health disinformation plunged after Ukrainian strikes on Russian data centers. How much “turbo cancer” & ivermectin nonsense is fueled by Russian bots, and how many Americans have they killed? Bots spread disinformation. Humans search for it. When bots go down, so do searches.
Let’s talk about trust! Is a relationship between a patient and a health care provider needed to be based on trust?
Canada is worth fighting for. Watch the video: youtu.be/tUTe5oJmSRo

Danielle Smith, how did your yesterday’s secretive meeting with the separatists and convicted Tamara Lich go? Why weren’t media and Albertans allowed to hear what you said to them? When campaigning for unity, we don’t hide. calgaryherald.com/news/local-n... #ableg #cdnpoli

No amount of preventable dying is NORMAL!
“This amount of dying is normal, therefore acceptable.” Nope. No amount of preventable suffering or dying is OK. Going back to “normal” with what we know now is just not good enough. And we are not back to normal anyway…
What makes healthcare so special that it is exempt from OH&S requirements to wear respiratory protection? Triage for a start has no freaking idea what the pathogen is, let alone the risks involved… ED doesn’t either for the most part… and things crop up on the wards… Why is healthcare exempt?
“There will never be a new world order until women are a part of it.” — Alice Paul (1885-1977)
This is the part that gives me dystopian nightmares! TBH I want to see the faces of those who pushed and ridiculed everyone else to drop precautions and to drop masks when they’ll realize their lives are cut short by 15 years and likely their children’s lives by 30 years.
I expect that the trends will curve down even more as some of the sequelae start kicking in. I wouldn't be surprised at all for life expectancy to drop into the 50s or 60s.
