I would argue the most telling statistic is the increase in homicide clearance rate (typically dismally low in most urban departments), which gives credence to the thesis it's the interruption strategy, specifically, and not exogenous trends driving the decrease.

Elon Musk, ägaren av X tillika världens rikaste man, uppmuntrar sina rasistiska och högerextrema följare att mörda politiker och makthavare som tillåter migration. Det är dags för alla att fatta: ingen bör vara aktiv på hans plattform, allra minst våra politiker. EU bör för övrigt förbjuda X.

also Galileo's main "crime" was being an absolute bell-end, constantly and publicly, to anyone he saw as a rival. Including a somewhat confused pope. Even his supporters felt he brought the heresy conviction on himself, and hoped it might shock him into being less of an arse in public. it didn't.
