"Sufficiency" isn't measured per-person, it's measured against a floor: the minimum cost of covering basic needs. Uniform means everyone gets that floor amount. Sufficient means the floor is set at (or scaling toward) a level that actually covers basic needs, not a number tailored to each individual

So if you take a sleepy town that hasn't seen much in the last 30 years & put a data center there, there are gonna be a bunch of happy residents."

Basic income is a floor to stand on, but also a springboard, whether that's starting a business, making art, or caring for family, without having to prove your worth through production first.
For many of us, the point of Basic Income is to end poverty, by giving everyone a financial floor to stand on.

Some guy a few thousand years ago stuck a fence in dirt and said "mine." No receipt. Every rent check since is interest on that bluff. UBI's not a handout. It's you finally getting cut in on what's still being denied you
