Anyone around the Sound seeing hazy skies this evening? That is upper-level fire smoke beginning to move in from the north. #wawx
Unfortunately, it is likely that smoke from the fires in Washington and Oregon get pulled westward over the Pacific Ocean, down the coast and toward the Bay Area by Wednesday. Other parts of Northern California, like Tahoe, could get smoke as early as Tuesday.
Isolated heavy showers capable of producing brief downpours and small hail after moving towards the southeast across the Puget Sound. It’s a long shot, but one lucky person may hear a rumble of thunder. #wawx
Oof. The mid to upper-level smoke forecast has fire smoke from BC sagging into Western Washington tonight into tomorrow morning. Then, perhaps an north-northeasterly wind shift Tuesday morning that could bring smoke from the east side over. #wawx
