Animal Kingdom a superb movie, but the world it depicts pales compared to the reality (outlined in article). Funny to read Kath hated her portrayal by the great Jacki Weaver.

The second time on my current travels that l have been lured away from reading for my latest non fiction book project by a random paperback I’ve found second hand. Not Deighton’s best, but still pretty good. Its prose style is both hard boiled and lyrical.

So @oivas.com gave me one of his dad’s old Larry Kent pulps in Finnish. This was a hugely successful long running faux American crime series published in Australia by Cleveland Publications, but l had no idea it had also been republished overseas. I wonder where else it appeared?
