I'm not sure what it will take for Canada to stop hosting sporting mega events. Even participation in this things is tough to justify, underscoring a prevailing commitment to entertainment over the meaningful pursuit health and wellbeing. The money is absolutely better spent elsewhere.

I keep wondering who exactly can afford these world cup tickets. It just makes no sense to me, even if I happened to live a stone's throw away and wanted to give my money to these thieves. Perhaps it explains why there are so many yellow jerseys in the crowd but barely any true ambiance... 👀
