Gamedev, Comics, Art Working on a #VisualNovel with #RPG elements Personal Account DE/ENG/JAP okay-らしい

Have been away for months due to my day job involving dealing with 8 hrs of news per day. I don't want to lose this creative outlet. If you're seeking gamedev/artist/writing community like me, get in touch :)

I know that anatomy is important to learn and practice as an artist, I think I need to switch focus because just at the thought of more thumbs, fingers and hands I'll go feral. Looking forward to rib cages actually! #art

About the question whether we should make #art in times like these: Personally, my #gamedev project has helped me tremendously over these past months. It doesn't make the pain go away, but it makes me feel like I'm witnessing my own emotions, and growth. I am grateful for that.

"Our collective stories of trauma an serious mental challenges around the globe are endless, as are the ways that the arts sustain us and help us heal. There is more evidence that the arts enhance brain function by changing brain-wave activity ans accessing the nervous system. The arts offer us a way to slow down, feel our emotional pain, and let it unfold, revealing a changed but full human being.
There is beauty and hope in that.""Your Brain on Art - How the Arts Transforms us" by Susan Magsamen and Ivy Ross.

I'll say it over and over. I do not believe in gate keeping. I do not believe in pulling up the ladder. I believe in kicking the wall down like the Kool-Aid man, and making room as I go for those who come next. Just because it was hard for me, doesn't mean it has to be hard for anyone else.

I dunno, frankly insane that we were bullied into silence about a genocide and I don’t think we should be bullied into silence about the same state actors bombing a new population of civilians and starting a major world war

www.ft.com/content/d84c... "It took Takahashi six years to make To a T with a team of 12. His personality is everywhere in it [...]" As much as I love that the FT gives an indie TEAM the spotlight, I hate the whole auteur debate, even as a solo dev. You have ALWAYS support in creating a game.

In praise of gaming’s eccentric auteurs

‘To a T’, which casts you as a schoolboy with no elbows, is rare for being the work of a single-minded creator
