A few days ago we released #SonicDE 6.7.4, compatible with #KDE Plasma 6.7.4. We have up-to-date packages for #Slackware and #VoidLinux, and #ArchLinux packages are ready too. If you’re running another distribution, head over to sonicde.org to see what’s available.
Xorg/XLibre: DontZap disables Ctrl+Alt+Backspace. DontVTSwitch disables Ctrl+Alt+Fn, but removes VT recovery. For most systems, DontZap alone is the better trade-off. More details: raw.githubusercontent.com/r1w1s1/code-... #slackware #x11
On #ArchLinux, you can now get both the “oldstable” #XLibre 25.0.x and the latest “beta” 25.2.x packages from our XLibre third-party repo. Please see xlibre-arch.github.io for setup instructions. The old x11libre.net/repo/arch_ba... repo has been removed in favor of the new repos.

Found UW ttyp0, a beautiful bitmap font for X11 and Unix consoles: people.mpi-inf.mpg.de/~uwe/misc/uw... I’m using its dotted-zero variant with cwm, dmenu, xterm, tabbed, and xscreensaver. A UW ttyp0 SlackBuild will be available on SlackBuilds.org next week. #slackware
The Slackware maintainer Ricardson @r1w1s1.bsky.social has created third-party packages for #SonicDE on #Slackware. You can find the installation instructions, SlackBuilds, package status, and project documentation at sonicde-slackware.github.io. A big thank you to Ricardson!

Trying out NextSpace on Slackware -current with XLibre. A modern implementation inspired by the classic NeXTSTEP desktop. It's interesting to see how its design and workflow still feel relevant decades later. Definitely a fun project to explore. #Slackware #NextSpace #XLibre #Unix #X11

It’s not Tuesday yet, but it will be soon. And I want to thank @grunfink for creating and maintaining snac. Tomorrow I’ll talk about FediMeteo at DevConf, and it would never have come to be if it weren’t for snac and for the help the author gave me in fixing some things to optimize its use […]
