Following a bunch of folk hacking on atproto has made my Bluesky feed far less depressing. At least the doom and information about well known horrible people and newly identified horrible people is interspersed with people excited about the cool thing they just built.

I'm thinking about how non-developers will feel about atproto. For example, will it take people by surprise that data entered into one app can show up somewhere else? More thoughts in this post.

I live in a small town surrounded by other small towns and villages, and everyone cross posts their events to the other Facebook groups. All the AI posters for summer fairs and such are the same few weird styles. I think I preferred it when Joan from the parish council used her clip art CD.
